Raja Muda Regatta

Raja Muda Regatta in 2020 runs from 13th – 21st November and is a passage and 'around the cans' regatta beginning in Selangor where it then progresses to Port Klang, Pangkor, Penang and finally Langkawi.

With the Raja Muda Regatta finishing in Langkawi means committed sailors can compete in Raja Muda Regatta then Kings Cup and then return to Langkawi in a short time. Quite unusually for regattas around here the courses are sometime sailed at night for the passages adding another dimension to the racing.

Generally the regatta is a mixture of passage races and ‘round the cans’ racing in quite unpredictable winds of varying strength and direction, sometimes many changes in an hour!

Raja Muda is strongly supported by the Malaysian Government and some the after racing fun and games are renowned as some of the best and most unusual of all regattas.
